On what day was Jesus crucified and resurrected?

In the process of studying the word of God and putting my notes together for the new book that I’m writing on end-times and the rise of the Antichrist, I’ve been coming across important details and answers for other topics. Since Easter is a time that most Christians celebrate remembering and honoring the resurrection of Christ, I wanted to share what I’ve found especially for those who need answers on this topic:

Jesus was arrested, crucified and raised up all during Passover (7 days of unleavened bread) which would be between March and April on our calendar.  These months and dates can vary because the true biblical calendar is based on lunar cycles and Sabbaths, so because of this the Jewish calendar is adjusted accordingly to make sure that Passover always falls in the spring during harvest. An extra month is added during a leap year (Jewish pregnant year) to realign the Jewish lunar calendar with the solar year.
What is the Passover? The Passover took place in Exodus chapter 12 which is the time when the children of Israel (Hebrews) led by Moses were going to be delivered out of Egypt.  An unblemished male lamb was taken and killed during this time while taking the blood and smearing it on the door posts of all the Hebrews where they lived.

Why did they do this? Because, the angel of death was coming as the final plague on Egypt from God to slew all the first born males and the blood on the door posts would cause the angel of death to pass over them and kill only the first born Egyptian males including Pharaoh’s son.  In relation, Jesus did the same for all mankind on the cross when he shed his blood for us. When we believe and receive His blood and allow it to be spiritual applied to our hearts, souls and lives by faith then we receive salvation. This will allow you to receive atonement through the blood of the lamb (Jesus) and judgment passing over so you will not go to hell (torment) after death and the Great Judgment.

Our 2014 year is the year 5774 on the Jewish calendar. This Jewish year is a leap year (pregnant year) for the Jewish people and calendar containing thirteen months which is very important and relevant, especially since the first blood red moon of the lunar tetrads is falling on Passover.

After two days was the feast of the passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death – Mark 14:1

When was Passover first established? Exodus 12:1-2 “And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.”

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt – Exodus 34:18

Abib (Hebrew) in Judaism is an older name for the month of Nisan. Hebrew ābhībh ear of grain, hence the month when grain was fresh. This may be in relation to the barley harvest.

And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel – Exodus 12:14-15

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even – Exodus 12:18

The first and head of the month on the Jewish calendar is Nisan (March-April). This 2014 year is a Jewish leap year so the Passover will fall in April on the 14th day (sundown-April 15th) and the feast of unleavened bread will take place as usual for seven days through the 21st.

The Last Supper (between Jesus and disciples) took place during Passover on the first day of unleavened bread:

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the passover, his disciples said unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the passover? – Mark 14:12

Late into the night on the first day of unleavened bread Jesus went to pray and asked the disciples to stay awake and watch.  Jesus was arrested while it was still dark but very early in the AM hours (Mark 14:35-72).
According to the four gospels, I’ve researched and found that Jesus was tried six times all together by Annas, Caiaphas, Pilate, Herod, back to Pilate and then last by the crowd who cried “Crucify Him” and release Barabbas. This all took place in the same day. A day on the Jewish calendar begins at sunset. When a date is given for a Jewish holiday, the holiday actually begins at sundown on the preceding day.  Jesus was taken and crucified in the early morning of the third hour (3:00 AM-Mark 15:25) and at the sixth hour (6:00 AM-Mark 15:33) there was darkness (probably solar eclipse) over the whole land until the ninth hour (9:00 AM-Mark 15:34), which is when Jesus died.  I don’t think Jesus died at 9:00 PM because there would have been no eclipse and the sun rises in the east setting in the west, so in the spring in Israel during the Passover it would have already been dark by 6:00 PM.

According to our days of the week Jesus may have died on a Friday which is relevant to the phrase “Good Friday”. Remember, a Jewish Sabbath is on Saturday in relation to our days of the week and calendar and the first day of the Jewish week is Sunday. Here is the scripture that proves “Good Friday” which is taking place after Jesus dies:

And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the Sabbath – Mark 15:42

The day before the Sabbath in relation to our days of the week and calendar is Friday.  In verse 43 Joseph of Arimathaea pleaded to Pilate for the body of Jesus.  Pilate answered the request and gave the body of Jesus to Joseph.  He took Jesus down off the cross and wrapped him in fine linen and placed the body in the tomb (sepulcher). Jesus is dead lying in the tomb so what happens next?

And that day was the preparation, and the sabbath drew on. And the women (Mary Magdalene, Mary mother of Jesus and Salome-Mark 16:1) also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment – Luke 23:54-56

So, the women couldn’t do any work on the body of Jesus on the Sabbath (Saturday). On Easter Sunday what happens?

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus – Luke 24:1-3

On Sunday, which was the third day of Passover (feast of unleavened bread) most likely at sunrise, the women saw that the body of Jesus was gone because he had risen. They saw two angels who let them know that Jesus was not in the tomb—Mark 24:4-6.  In conclusion, Jesus was arrested, crucified and buried all on a Thursday or Friday (Good Friday) and rose from the dead early on the third day on the first day of the week (Sunday-our Easter).  I mention Thursday because Passover would have started after sunset on the preceding day and this scripture reveals further details supporting this statement:

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth – Matthew 12:40

However, the definition of the gospel of Christ is revealed in Corinthians 15:1-4 which states that Jesus rose on the third day.  A full three days and nights would suggest that he rose on the fourth day.  Matthew 12:40 suggesting that Jesus was in the heart of the earth for three days and nights could actually mean Friday (day/night), Saturday (day/night) and Sunday after midnight on Saturday which became Sunday while it was still dark (night) and then at sunrise revealing the day and his rising.  Keep in mind that Jesus spoke the verse in Matthew 12:40 before he was crucified but after the event the Apostles note that Jesus rose on the third day and not after. These scriptures spoken by both Peter and Paul reveal that Jesus rose on the third day, so that is why I lean more toward Good Friday even though our Thursday would be a good fit from a Jewish calendar perspective:

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly – Acts 10:39-40

Here is also just a quick little notation on Easter:  The oldest translations of the bible are in Hebrew, Greek and Latin. What does "Easter" mean in the original Greek? The answer Πάσχα or Pascha. In Latin the word Pascha means Passover and in Hebrew Pascha is the word Pesach which means Passover. The word "Easter" is used in Acts 12:4 and the original Greek text for the word in this passage is Pascha. Easter means Passover and is not related to the name Eostre unless you are distorting and applying it intentionally for false idol worship because you serve a false pagan god.
I have a little more tidbit of information. Do you believe that the Jewish calendar and our calendar (Gregorian) are inaccurate or something that God would not have known or planned for?  The answer to that is No and the proof is this:  This year on our own calendar in relation to the Jewish calendar (Passover) will begin on April 15th (sundown April 14th). We have to adjust Good Friday (death and burial of Jesus) and Easter (resurrection of Jesus) to fall on a Sunday so this year Easter will fall on Sunday the 20th.

Here is the final proof of biblical-Jewish-Christian calendar accuracy:  Our calendar along with the Jewish calendar is so precise with God’s timing that the first blood red moon eclipse (lunar tetrad) is falling perfectly on April 15, 2014 on the Jewish Passover (April 14th after sunset) depending on your timezone. You can find this out for yourself on the Jewish calendar and on Nasa’s eclipse website. This event was orchestrated and planned by GOD from the beginning and so now how much control and manipulation do you think man really has?  Man has no more than God allows him to have and cannot change God’s will or what has been written for HE is GOD.

The Lunar Tetrad: -- you'll have to purchase my book after it's released on the market to get the rest of the story.......I also have some other good surprises & scripture references on this topic in my book that I didn't include on this page & writing.

What is the purpose behind my hopeful upcoming new book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”, why was it written and what audience will it appeal to?

“My book was primarily written to reestablish God’s word which was already written and to support creation. I also wrote it to lift up the name of Jesus drawing a line in the sand against Satan and all those who bring and try to keep division in the body of Christ. Too many churches and denominations slander each other, backbite and separate themselves from one another just because of their denominational name, traditions, standards, customs or personal theological view and teachings. I witnessed this going on in various ways while living in Louisiana for thirty-four years. Certain denominations have always been divided against one another although there are many true spirit-filled, kind and loving Christians within every denomination and church. My book may also help bridge a gap for some Christians and denominations through biblical scripture. There are other denominational feuds around the U.S. even between those believing in the oneness or trinity of God. We are all one body as brothers and sisters in Christ no matter what denomination or church we attend as long as the GOSPEL OF CHRIST is being taught and preached. The gospel of Christ is the birth, life, teachings, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I also wrote my book to share personal testimony, valuable information, sources, links as well as empower people through facts and biblical scripture guided by the Holy Spirit on several topics, but under four major categories which are:  Salvation, Holy Ghost, Water Baptism and Divisions in the body of Christ.
My book answers many questions people have concerning God and the Holy Bible.  The book is for both Christians and non-believers, especially to give much needed answers for those looking.  I pray and hope that my book can and will be used as a tool for the kingdom of God and to reach the lost.”

My testimony to draw the line in the sand:

I received a prophetic message during a prayer service in Louisiana by a woman in 2008 that I would write a book that would help people, but I definitely didn’t know anything about book writing or publishing. I wrote this Christian book called “Drawing a Line in the Sand” and had it self-published in 2009 through AuthorHouse Publishing.  I put my own money into the book but I never was satisfied with it at all. When I started writing the book I was grieving over the loss of my mother Vicki, and so it was a way for me to cope with her death which truly kept me grounded in the word of God.
The book was kind of boring and immaturely written and the Spirit of the Lord knew how I felt about it. I wrote some things that I believe were not correct as well. The last section of the book that I wrote on end-times was something that I was not ready to write back then, so I completely removed it.  I have grown immensely as a writer since 2008 both in wisdom as well as knowledge on the word of God.  Writing and self publishing my first book was definitely a growing and learning experience for me and I learned a lot even about marketing.  However, the book did have potential and served as well as a biblical study guide.  I really had to just spend some time rewriting, updating, editing and most importantly defining the purpose of my book.
I learned a great lesson to not ever rush something that you are meant to take time with it.  Put true quality into your work and not quantity.  I received two more prophetic messages in 2013 and 2014 by a man at the church where I currently attend in Washington State.  I knew the prophetic message for me was from God because this man didn’t know me at all.  The first time he came up to me out of the blue and said, “You’ve stopped writing, and God wants you to write.” You could imagine how I felt because this man didn’t know me at all and it was true.  I did stop writing and was discouraged, but that really encouraged me and so I created a facebook page and blog for writing. The second prophecy I received from the same man again in early 2014 was a message about God using my writings to help many people. He said that my writings would even go into dark places to reach people where others have not.  I knew in my heart and spirit that I needed to rewrite and revise my first book and then get it published again.  I began writing on two books at once. The first was rewriting “Drawing a Line in the Sand”, and thank God I have accomplished that.  The second book I am currently writing is on the rise of the Antichrist.  It will be about the last days but with a new twist that no other end-time book offers that I know of.

Let God draw a line in the sand today against the gates of hell in your life.  Don't give up, BE a fighter...

I have several writings in my blog and one in particular, which was posted before this one, has received some publicity and now almost 1,500 views. It was a sample writing from my manuscript on Enoch, Noah, giants and the flood along with so much more.  Feel free to check it out.......

This is my attempt at a self-made promo video for my new hopeful upcoming book called "Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited." Really I just like the song lol, but the video reveals reasons why my book was written as well as some questions & topics answered and covered in my work. The song playing during the video is called "Draw the Line" by the Christian rock band 'Disciple'.

Don't give up Be a Fighter!

I see you struggling, waiting, trying to let somebody know but you’re silent.  Who’d listen and who would care anyway?  You don’t know what I’ve been going through. Yeah I do…….I’ve been there, maybe not in the same way or situation, but I know.  Pain, hurt, heartache, trials, sufferings, loss, lack and tears come in so many different shades and forms that brings us all to our knees.  Every person on this earth in one way or another can relate whether you’re a Christian or not.  So, I say again who’d care anyway?  God does…

Why would God care about me? Because he knew you before you were in your mother’s womb even if you don’t believe he exist.  God knew me before I was ever born and HE knew my kids before I ever did. Life is precious and so are children...

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb – Psalm 139:3 NLT

My Son Gabriel at 1 years old

My daughter Alena at 1 years old
Gabe & Alena ages 7 & 4

Don’t try to comprehend God or figure him out because nobody can, but just believe and have faith that he’s there.

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all– Ecclesiastes 11:5

I know what it’s like to grow up with adversity and so many people in different ways do.  It’s easy to hide behind the struggle and either give up or just stay…trapped… and do or say nothing.  The fight seems so hard and to far out of reach to win…but it’s not.  I know what gut-wrenching pain feels like and then to just keep pressing on…….I know what real pain, heartache, persecution and even loss feels like.  You don’t have to be a Christian to be persecuted because people are persecuted or bullied everyday for things as simple as their outward appearance.  You know God doesn’t judge the outward appearance but only judges the heart:

But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart – 1 Samuel 16:7

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment – John 7:24

I’ve seen far too many Christians walk in pride with haughtiness looking down on others as if they saved themselves.  Christians that take on an attitude of a Pharisee are not walking Christ-like nor are they pleasing to God in any manner.  Some of the things God hates are proud (arrogant) looks toward others, lying to hurt others and gossip.  I know what it’s like to be falsely slandered, gossiped about and put down without a true cause.  Jesus was innocent too…but was falsely condemned and slandered…He was truly innocent and without sin and he died for our sins.......He took our place on the cross and received what we deserved.

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren – Proverbs 6:16-19

How do you know if you truly walk Christ-like or are mature in Christ?

If you walk in love, do justly and act humble living in a manner where you don’t judge by the seeing of your eyes or hearing of your ears then you walk Christ-like and in wisdom according to these scriptures:

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing.  If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing – 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 NLT

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? – Micah 6:8

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he (Jesus) shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears – Isaiah 11:3

Whatever you’re going through fight back and don’t give up on yourself, life or God.  It could be something out of your control…stand up in Christ…it could be something small, big or even secret that no one else knows about.  I know what it’s like to just barely hang on and exist or just feel like you’re surviving…not living…just surviving.  For so many people it’s a cliché to hear somebody else say, “Call on Jesus, God will help you.”  Not everyone has the same faith, belief or courage.
It’s also a cliché for people who don’t believe in God or Jesus to say, “God or Jesus is a crutch for you.” God may give me strength, peace, love, joy, wisdom, healing and protection according to his will, but the pain and hardship I’ve experienced was real.  It wasn’t carried for me nor was I spared from heartache, but the Holy Spirit did comfort me and my hurts were healed without carrying unforgiveness, bitterness, hate or resentment in my heart.  Everyone bleeds when they’re cut whether they’re saved or not…no man or woman is spared from pain in this life.

Jesus Christ is the Saviour of mankind and not a crutch...tell me where a "crutch" is for anyone after they've passed away from this life.

I know with all my heart and life that Jesus can change any life from pain to healing, tears to joy, from torment to peace and hate to love.  I’ve experienced it and seen it happened with others. God doesn’t force his love or will on any person but lets you choose.  You don’t have to choose to believe or ask Jesus to come into your heart and life, but I did in 1983 and more fervently in 1998 and I don’t have any regrets, but instead I have hope for something more after death.  A Christian life isn’t full of sunshine and rainbows like many people depict it. It has its moments, but many heartaches and trials as well.  God helped me overcome difficulty in my life and resist things such as resentment or unforgiveness that tried its best to take root in my heart.  Through Christ I overcame.......

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world – John 16:33

God has given me peace, joy and love that no one else can or ever could through Christ. HE is truly patient, loving, forgiving, merciful, kind and knows how to love you like nobody else:

Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love – 1 Corinthians 13:13 NLT

Everybody needs something and everyone needs love:

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love – 1 John 4:8

Whatever you’re going through don’t give up but be a fighter. If you feel alone in your fight then ask God with courage, faith, belief and expectance to help you.  He may not come right away, trust me I know, but don’t give up while you’re waiting.  One of the hardest things a Christian has to endure is ‘the wait’, but God knows when and how to answer even when we don’t think he really cares.  I know what it’s like to have prayers not answered and then question why…but I also know what it’s like for the Lord to answer and provide quickly.

Whoever you are and wherever you are God sees you…call on him, pray and ask for his salvation, love, peace and comfort…

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved – Romans 10:9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God – Ephesians 2:8

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter (Holy Spirit), that he may abide with you for ever – John 14:16

One of the greatest things that you can do in this life to be set free is to forgive those who have hurt and wronged you.  You can also receive forgiveness from God through Jesus Christ for any wrong that you've ever committed in your life.

Let God and His Son Jesus into your heart and life and watch how HE transforms you into something great.  You're worth more than gold.......trust Him
