Right now.......All eyes are on Israel

With all the turmoil going on in the Middle East Israel is certainly the center of most news headlines.  Why are some news media outlets twisting the conflict between Hamas (Gaza) and Israel deliberately shining a negative light on the Jewish nation?

I do have a friend working on the Israeli coast in the oil business who has been witnessing a lot of the activity going on between Israel and Hamas (Gaza). For those who don’t know the area of Gaza...it's part of the ancient area of the Philistines who were evil and great enemies of the Hebrews (Jewish nation). David versus Goliath (Philistine giant) is probably the most famous battle relating to ancient conflicts with the Philistines.

Israel’s enemies are stirring who by the way actually “hate” the Jewish nation and want them wiped off the map. Hamas (Gaza) from the south, radical regimes such as ISIS out of Iraq and Syria north of Israel have been causing problems for the Jews.

Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem – Zechariah 12:2

However, there are some important events coming:  In September, the new Jewish year will fall on the 25th-26th which is called Rosh Hashana (Feast of Trumpets). This is an important time because this New Year for Israel will be a Sabbatical Year for the Jewish nation. One other important event to note taking place just after the Jewish New Year will be the second blood red moon of the lunar tetrad falling on 10/8/2014 which will be during the Feast of Tabernacles.
For those who do not know: The Lunar Tetrad are four blood red moons (lunar eclipses) which will intentionally fall on Jewish Holy Days that actually began in April of 2014.  The first fell on April 15th (14th) of this year which took place during the Jewish Passover. This is a topic that I briefly cover in my first new book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited 2014."

What is a Sabbatical Year?  I paste and copied some passages from my second new book I’ve been currently writing called “Little Horn and the Cup of Trembling” to answer that question:

The seven year peace treaty is directly associated with the seven year tribulation.  This timeline obviously deals with the number seven, especially in relation to the Sabbath and Sabbatical Year which is the seventh year. The book of Deuteronomy chapter 15 mentions a release of things after every seven years.  The word Sabbatical in Jewish is Shemitah (Shemittah).

At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the Lord's release – Deuteronomy 15:1-2

Here are the verses again from Deuteronomy 15 out of the Orthodox Jewish Bible:

At the end of every shevat shanim thou shalt make a shemittah (release). And this is the manner of the shemittah: Every creditor that lendeth whatever unto his neighbor shall cancel the debt; he shall not exact it of his neighbor, or of his brother; because it is called Hashem’s Shemittah. – Deuteronomy 15:1-2

In Deuteronomy chapter 15 verse 12 it deals directly with the Hebrews and for the time we live in today it deals with the Jews.  According to Deuteronomy 15, every Hebrew in bondage is to be released every six years and set free in the seventh, which is basically going to happen during the seven year tribulation.  God resting on the seventh day after creation in the book of Genesis is very relevant.  In Jewish culture the Sabbath is the day of rest and takes place on the seventh day which is on a Saturday in relation to our calendar.

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made – Genesis 2:2

And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year (Sabbatical year) thou shalt let him go free from thee – Deuteronomy 15:12

Could the Lord Jesus Christ be coming soon?  He certainly could, but only the Father in Heaven knows so we must be watchful and ready at all times.

Could the Seven Year Tribulation begin soon?

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man – Luke 21:36

My new book is almost ready for purchase as an ebook on Amazon with an excellent interactive table of contents and links for use on all e-devices such as kindle, iPad and iPhone…etc

What is the purpose behind my hopeful upcoming new book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”, why was it written and what audience will it appeal to?

"My book was primarily written to reestablish God’s word which was already written and to also support creation. I wrote it to lift up the name of Jesus drawing a line in the sand against Satan and all those who bring and try to keep division in the body of Christ. Too many churches and denominations slander each other, backbite and separate themselves from one another just because of their denominational name, traditions, standards, customs or personal theological view and teachings. I witnessed this going on in various ways while living in Louisiana for thirty-four years. Certain denominations have always been divided against one another although there are many true spirit-filled, kind and loving Christians within every denomination and church. My book may also help bridge a gap between some Christians and denominations through biblical scripture. We are all one body as brothers and sisters in Christ no matter what denomination or church we attend as long as the GOSPEL OF CHRIST is being taught and preached. The gospel of Christ is the birth, life, teachings, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This book also contains a great deal of scripture verses for ease of memory, especially from what book, chapter and verse it is located.
We are to love, care for, encourage and lift up one another. God created diversity not division.

I wrote my book to answer many questions people have. I also wrote it to share valuable information, sources, links as well as empower people through facts and biblical scripture guided by the Holy Spirit on several topics, but under four major categories which are: Salvation, Holy Ghost, Water Baptism and Divisions in the body of Christ. The book itself is an excellent study guide.

I pray and hope that my book can and will be used as a tool for the kingdom of God and to reach the lost.”

My testimony to draw the line in the sand:

I received a prophetic message during a prayer service in Louisiana by a woman in 2008 that I would write a book that would help people, but I definitely didn’t know anything about book writing or publishing. I wrote this Christian book called “Drawing a Line in the Sand” and had it self-published in 2009 through AuthorHouse Publishing.  I put my own money into the book but I never was satisfied with it at all. When I started writing the book I was grieving over the loss of my mother Vicki, and so it was a way for me to cope with her death which truly kept me grounded in the word of God.
The book was kind of boring and immaturely written and the Spirit of the Lord knew how I felt about it. I wrote some things that I believe were not correct as well. The last section of the book that I wrote on end-times was something that I was not ready to write back then, so I completely removed it.  I have grown immensely as a writer since 2008 both in wisdom as well as knowledge on the word of God.  Writing and self publishing my first book was definitely a growing and learning experience for me and I learned a lot even about marketing.  However, the book did have potential and served as well as a biblical study guide.  I really had to just spend some time rewriting, updating, editing and most importantly defining the purpose of my book.
I learned a great lesson to not ever rush something that you are meant to take time with it.  Put true quality into your work and not quantity.  I received two more prophetic messages in 2013 and 2014 by a man at the church where I currently attend in Washington State.  I knew the prophetic message for me was from God because this man didn’t know me at all.  The first time he came up to me out of the blue and said, “You’ve stopped writing, and God wants you to write.” You could imagine how I felt because this man didn’t know me at all and it was true.  I did stop writing and was discouraged, but that really encouraged me and so I created a facebook, twitter page and a blog for writing. The second prophecy I received from the same man again in early 2014 was a message about God using my writings to help many people. He said that my writings would even go into dark places to reach people where others have not.  I knew in my heart and spirit that I needed to rewrite and revise my first book and then get it published again.  I began writing on two books at once. The first was rewriting “Drawing a Line in the Sand”, and thank God I have accomplished that.  The second book I am currently writing is on the rise of the Antichrist.  It will be about the last days but with a new twist that no other end-time book offers that I know of.

Let God draw a line in the sand today against the gates of hell in your life.  Don't give up, BE a fighter...

I have several writings in my blog which has received some small publicity and now over 2,000 views. So far the writing that has received the most views is a sample writing from my manuscript on Enoch, Noah, giants and the flood along with so much more.  Feel free to check it out.......

This is my attempt at a self-made promo video for my new hopeful upcoming book called "Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited." Really I just like the song lol, but the video reveals reasons why my book was written as well as some questions & topics answered and covered in my work. The song playing during the video is called "Draw the Line" by the Christian rock band 'Disciple'.

My personal testimonies & experiences as a wheelchair service driver:

These are just a few writings of my true experiences that I posted on my facebook page that I wanted to compile into a blog to share and encourage others with.

(July 16th 2014) I have another experience and testimony to share today. The client I picked up this morning in Vancouver was a nice older black gentleman. He could walk good but had some internal health issues. I had to take him to Portland, OR. I enjoyed his company and he was such a blessing to me. We talked about life, music, sports and God. He said he lived in New Orleans, La at one time in his life and was a jazz musician.

He said he received salvation in Jesus Christ in 1972, but told me this:

“I did receive salvation but I tell you what…I went my own way and I was stubborn. Let me tell ya son…God don’t like back-seat drivers. If a man wants to tell God what he’s gonna do when he wants to do it…oh no sir…God will break you because he loves you.” He laughed and then said, “Trust me I know…I had a hard heart for a long time and was a back-seat driver to God…and God broke me…you hear me…God broke me. I shouldn’t even be alive right now because all the stuff and drugs I did. I tell people all the time that God don’t have no room in his kingdom for hard-hearts, stubbornness or pride…so if you claim to be one of his children he’s gonna change you…yes sir (he laughs)…he’s gonna change that mean heart cause he did me.”

This really reminded me of the sermon my pastor taught last Sunday about lambs going astray. Here’s a paraphrase of that teaching so I’ll share because it’s a great teaching and lesson:

He said in Hebrew-Jewish traditions when a lamb would go astray and keep getting away from its area the owner would have to take a rod and break its back legs so it wouldn't get back out and get killed. Once the back legs healed the lamb-sheep would actually stay in the area and not get out again. This was a great analogy for us because God loves us to much to leave us where we’re at. Sometimes that means the Lord has to break our legs (metaphorically speaking) so we’ll stay close to God not getting out and away to far from God in such a way that it jeopardizes our soul. God loves us to much (if we claim to he his children) to let Satan have us. Backsliding and straying will hurt and God will allow suffering in your life because of it, but for your own good.

Here’s a saying that my former pastor Bro. Eddie Thompson from Louisiana would say: “Many times people think their one step ahead of God…like God is throwing his hand down to get us and we just keep moving out the way because we’re one step ahead. Let me tell you something…if God wanted to get you then you’d be got. God’s not trying to “get us” but he’s trying to love…and teach us to love others, but many times we don’t want that. Instead we want to do our own thing and only love our own…my four and no more Lord. You know Jesus wants to save you…he don’t want to “get you” because you’d be got already Amen.”

I remember those words from now deceased and beloved Pastor Eddie Thompson. I hope this testimony was a blessing.

(July 15th 2014) I wanted to share something from my heart…….I’ve been driving for a wheelchair service company for about 4 months now after applying for honestly 91 jobs and it has been an honor. It’s a very humbling job as well. I’ve been able to meet a lot of people, but most of all I’ve been able to share and witness the love of Christ with others. It’s been amazing, but it could end soon because I have some other job offers and an interview today in a related field accept that it will be full-time and more money.

I love my job and have been used by God greatly for others and God has miraculously sustained my family financially even though I make 10.00/hr at part-time hours with a $1,100.00 monthly rent…so as a one-income family of four you can imagine the faith we’ve had to walk in. We only have one vehicle and my wife is a full-time college student and stay-at-home mom. We’ve had people out of the blue just hand us money sometimes…I don’t care what anyone says…that’s from God.

Times like that usually only lasts for seasons or longer though until God is ready to move you again which may happen to me.

I’ve had clients tell me that many times they’ve rode with other companies just to be treated like a piece of cargo in a wheelchair…it’s heartbreaking to hear that. Many clients have opened up to me and shared their story and its been a blessing. The clients I pick up are either in a wheelchair, use a walker or can actually walk…but they’re just weak you know.

Most of the time my days start at 4am and vary from there how long they last or what I get paid. You might work a 10 hour day in this field but only get paid for 5 hours because once you drop a client off your considered off the clock and you have to log those hours and miles.

This morning I picked up two usual clients (older black and white gentlemen) like clockwork every Tues., Thurs. and Sat. for dialysis treatment lasting them 4-5 hours at time. These patients on dialysis get so weak and just wore out as well as nauseous…It’s something they do basically for the rest of their lives.

The look on their face today was something I couldn’t describe when they got through and I picked them up…you know. It was like they were saying…please somebody, anybody…help me and just care. I sparked conversation with the black gentleman and told him he looked like Michael Jordan lol, seriously he really did but an older version. We talked about life, family and God. When I dropped him off I sincerely let him know that I’m praying for him and asking God to provide his needs. His heart was touched and so was mine and he thanked me because at the moment he’s staying with a friend and looking for a place to live.

My final pick-up was the white gentlemen that I’ve known a little longer. When he walked out of the building he was just wore out…I mean you could see it in his eyes and face. He’s only 52 years old and you can tell that he’s worked hard most of his life by the way he carries himself and the things we’ve talked about. He just wants to go back to work, but he can hardly even walk to the van to climb in. It broke my heart today. We talked a little and during the ride he was just keeping himself from throwing up from being so nauseous.
I was hoping he wouldn’t throw up, not because I’d have to clean it up, but because it would have embarrassed him because he’s tough old man I tell ya. I prayed under my breath for him while we rode. We got to his house and he got out and got his bag and I said his name. He looked up and I told him, “Man what you go through everyday is tough and I couldn’t imagine what’s it’s like for you, but I just want you to know that I’m praying for you…I really am.” He looked at me with actual tears in his eyes and said, “I appreciate that…thanks so much Daniel…I really appreciate that.” He shut the door and rested for a moment still trying not to throw up while I was there.

I left and you know the Holy Spirit moved on me to pray for him right at that moment to give him a sign, testimony and witness that God cares and He’s with him. Sometimes just letting someone know you care and you're praying for them is all they need to hear...and it could even change their life.

It’s hard to have a job like this and get so close to people and then maybe have to leave to take another job because you just don’t even make enough to pay your rent you know. God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven…in Jesus name. If I get this other job I’ll still get to maybe run into some of my clients on my current job because I’ll be bringing medical supplies and medicines to nursing homes, senior residential homes and other related areas. Keep me and my family in prayer and hopefully the right door for the right job will open up. In the meantime I know that God will provide and also continue using me in ministry to reach others by just caring and showing Christ-like love.

(May 19th 2014) I wanted to share a testimony that happened at work today. I am a transporter for a wheelchair & medical service company. Most of the patients that I pick up are elderly but I do pick up some middle-aged groups as well.

Today I had one patient who was the last on my list to pick up, wait upon and then bring back home. She had a service dog with her but she seemed very physical and in good shape. As I drove, we talked and she began to open up to me about her life like a lot of my patients do, but this one was different. She had been through something so traumatizing that she hadn’t gone out in the public for almost a year until recently. We shared some small talk and laughs but on the way back the real story began.

When we were almost to her house I decided to use my ice-breaker to bring up God by asking her where she went to church or if she had been to any good churches in the area. She said no…….she was quiet for a moment but then completely opened up and said that because of what happened to her she has just about lost faith and belief in God. She asked me why he couldn’t have intervened for her…she began to tear up and then said couldn’t he have done something to stop it.
I didn’t ask her to tell me what happened because that is patient confidentiality. We stopped at her house and I begin to shake inside and the Holy Spirit came upon me and gave me the words to say to her. I let her know why bad things happen to good people but I also let her know that one day all evil will cease because Christ will one day rule this earth.
She wanted to hear more and my words through the Holy Spirit begin to touch her and she began to cry and God spoke through me to tell her that HE gives beauty for ashes and what Satan has destroyed God will restore and she is not alone. She then told me that in group therapy recently someone told her that she would be like a phoenix rising up out of the ashes and so when I gave her the word of God concerning beauty for ashes she said that was her confirmation and so she knew God was talking to her.

I then prayed over her and she cried and was very touched by the Holy Spirit. She said that her life was changed today because of what I said and I couldn’t help but tear up because you never know when God will use you in such a life-changing way and when it happens the feeling is indescribable.

I gotta say…….the job that I have doesn’t pay that well, but it opened up for me at the right time and I believe for God’s work. I’ve witnessed to a few cancer patients to and others that rode with me sensed that something was different about me and some knew that the Holy Spirit was in me and some knew that it was my southern accent lol. It’s amazing how God works things out for us and others as we cross paths in a person’s life that is in need.

I may add more true testimonies to this blog as time goes by...

God Bless

I have a lot of writings on this blog on different topics concerning Christianity and the Holy Bible and so I hope their a blessing and help to others.

Can any man or woman be perfect or considered perfect?

Can any man or woman be perfect or considered perfect at least in comparison to Christ?

The answer is no.  Jesus Christ was sinless, blameless and spotless from birth to death.  If we have ever sinned in our life since birth then we will never be “perfect” or considered a perfect person.  We already have blame and spots that are graciously covered by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us – 1 John 1:10

Can any man or woman walk in perfect obedience through faith and trust in Jesus Christ?

The answer to that is yes.  As Christians, we can even walk without sin for seasons or longer but only through God’s strength and our faith as well as trust in Him to keep us from falling even providing ways to escape any and every sin.  This is not about self-righteousness or the cliché “I’ve got one up on you”.  This is about trusting God to deliver you from and out of whatever the sin may be. However, the final choice is up to you…even Jesus was tempted by Satan under some very extreme conditions during important key moments.  Jesus resisted and because HE overcame then so can we through him…

If you’re resisting sin to please the Father in Heaven then you are doing what’s right in the sight of God…….if you’re trying to resist sin for other reasons then you will fall and it will not be fulfilling.  Any man or woman can walk upright and perfect in the Lord through the Holy Ghost but it is not easy and it takes trust and faith.
Will you receive some forms of persecution as well as jealousy, envy, slander and hate from others if you walk upright in the Lord God? Yes you will…but you have to always be humble and not lift your own self up…God will lift your head up for you even through others.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head – Psalm 3:3

We can only walk upright in God resisting sin through the power of the Holy Ghost.  HE gives us a way to escape every time, but it’s up to us to take his hand.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it – 1 Corinthians 10:13

We overcome this life and even the sins of this life through Christ and when we do fall and sin we have an Advocate unto the Father to forgive us of our sins.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous – 1 John 2:1

Should it matter if we sin since we can be forgiven every time and grace is applied? Yes it does matter and the word of God warns us to abstain from sin because our spiritual enemies desire to kill, steal and destroy us even with the littlest foothold we give.  God shows us a better way…but we can do it our own way and HE will let us, even though we’ll receive torment, pain, suffering and even chastisement because of it.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour – 1 Peter 5:8

The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly – John 10:10

You can overcome…Trust in Him…….

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world – John 16:33

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world – 1 John 4:4

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith – 1 John 5:4

The Holy Ghost searches our hearts which means HE can read our thoughts as well.  God gave us everything that we needed through Jesus Christ (Holy Spirit) to overcome this life, the Devil, sin and the flesh.  The choice is ours…….We can “do it our way” or do it God’s way and have true victory.  The bible warns us many times to abstain from sin and to not allow the Devil to get a foothold in our life.  This is not about being “perfect”, but this is about having victory over Satan and the sins of this life and to both defeat and escape the pits, fiery darts, traps, devices and nets our spiritual enemies uses.  This is also about overcoming our own flesh…

Many times we cope with things in this life with sin because it gives temporary relief from the pain, hurt, heartache and anger…but sinning to cope confounds the problem and entangles us even worse and we’ve all been there at some point and time in our life…….What if you said “NO” this time…what would happen…possibly a miracle and you may not find out until you do.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed – James 1:14

Neither give place to the devil – Ephesians 4:27

and do not give the devil a foothold – Ephesians 4:27 NLT

There is an incident in the word of God where Jesus healed a man who had an infirmity for 38 years.  This is what Jesus told him after HE healed him…

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee – John 5:14

Sometimes we experience hurtful things and torment in our life even though we haven’t sinned but these trials are always only for seasons, growth in the Lord and for the Glory of God.  One perfect example is the story of Job.

Who do you choose to serve this day…yourself and the flesh…or God?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect – Matthew 5:48

How can we be perfect according to Matthew 5:48? By walking in love and obedience through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin – John 8:34

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness – Romans 6:18

When we receive salvation in Christ believing in the gospel of Christ by faith then we begin our journey in God.  The Christian walk is an ever-growing process of falling and getting back up to having true victory over sin by seeking righteousness (Jesus Christ) and the kingdom of God first.  We are the righteousness of God through Christ….…Do we stop there? No, because we must continue to seek after the kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit (Ghost) which ultimately allows us to walk in obedience desiring the spirit over the flesh and desiring obedience over sin.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you – Matthew 6:33

Don't give up ... be a fighter and warrior in Christ!

Our full hope, salvation and refuge is in Jesus Christ

I have several writings in my blog which has received some small publicity and now almost 2,000 views.

Seek after & fall in love with the Holy Ghost...the Spirit, witness & power of Jesus Christ

The Holy Ghost is the power of God on this earth even through us.  HE is also the Witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Truth and our Comforter.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you – John 14:16-17

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose:  he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire – Luke 3:16

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:  for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:  and he will shew you things to come – John 16:13

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:  neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus:  and great grace was upon them all – Acts 4:31-33

The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost…acknowledge him…seek after Him. Walk in his love (charity), truth and obedience experiencing his grace and overcoming power…Walk Christ-like.......

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost – Romans 14:17

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God – Romans 3:22-25

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power – 1 Corinthians 4:20

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost – Romans 15:13

But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth – Acts 1:8

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call – Acts 2:37-39

And my speech and preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power – 1 Corinthians 2:4

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.  And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy in the Holy Ghost – 1 Thessalonians 1:5-6

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word.  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days – Acts 10:44-48

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.  Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? – Acts 11:16-17

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another – Galatians 5:22-26

Here are a few excerpts identified in quotations from my hopeful upcoming book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”:

Here is a scripture that reveals when the term 'Christian' is first used:

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.  And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.  And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch – Acts 11:26

Our true identity is in Jesus Christ. We are called Christians, this is our identity and our identity is not in some denominational or non-denominational name or church organization. The church we attend does not define us, but the Holy Spirit (God-Jesus) does.  The term “Christian” began to be used to describe followers of Jesus Christ (Acts 11:26).  This term is still used today. This term should be taken more seriously for those who call themselves Christians. All of us who believe in the birth, life, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ are Christians. All of us who believe that Jesus was God come down unto men manifest in the flesh as the scripture reads, the word made flesh, are Christians of the right spirit. All of us who believe that Jesus is coming back for his people (saved believers) are Christians with faith and hope. All of us who love the Lord God and others with all our heart are Christians. Once again, the term “Christian” means to be Christ-like. P. 109-110

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

I wrote this scripture previously revealing what the Apostles and Paul preached unto people.  They preached Jesus and the resurrection.  This is the gospel of Christ; this is what Paul first received and how he was saved.  As you can read in the above verses, Paul declared unto them the gospel which he preached by which they were saved. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross set us free and brought us salvation.  His resurrection gave us hope.  His comforter sent unto us, the Holy Ghost, brought us power, a witness and the boldness to speak and walk in the Lord Jesus Christ with love and truth without fear.  We are to walk humble, be just and love mercy. P. 115

The spirit of man is the candle (lamp) of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly – Proverbs 20:27

Our spirit is the lamp and the Spirit of life (Spirit of Christ-salvation in Jesus-Spirit of God) is the oil for our lamp. The baptismal with fire in the Holy Ghost is what lights the oil into a burning flame that shines forth with witness and power unto the world dispelling the darkness. When you feel and sense things in the spirit or rather in your own spirit you most likely we feel it in your belly as Proverbs 20:27 reveals. P. 111

God is a Spirit and God is love (charity). What are the greatest gifts of God and the greatest long-term evidence of walking in the Holy Spirit of God? By all we’ve read and learned so far it is that we walk in love (charity) and truth.  Many churches and denominations put to much focus on certain gifts without giving the true foundation of the gifts.  The foundation of all things from God is built on love through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Love is sacrifice and God is love (1 John 4:8). P. 114

Here are some scriptures that give the purpose behind tongues and prophecy:

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?  But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:  And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth – 1 Corinthians 14:22-25

Some churches and denominations don’t believe in speaking in tongues or don’t believe that tongues (cloven tongues of fire) should take place in the church. Once again, not every church is used by the Spirit of God in the same manner or operation. You may not ever speak in tongues, because we know according to the word of God not all people will, but to deny and not believe in it would be unwise since it comes from the Holy Ghost. We all have to ask God for wisdom and to guide us. We have to watch what we say, and we have to watch what we teach and what we learn from others.  The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth and without the Holy Ghost in and upon your ministry there will be no “anointed” truth concerning the word of God that comes out of you.  Here is a scripture that lets us know that tongues should not be denied or forbidden:

Wherefore, brethren covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues – 1 Corinthians 14:39

The majority of people who are baptized with fire in the Holy Ghost will speak in tongues (tongues of fire) when being filled. We now know through scripture that I have written from the word of God that some people may not speak with tongues upon being filled with the Holy Ghost, but some possibly may speak the word of God with boldness, prophesy or speak a word of knowledge (Acts 4:31-33).  Once again, the sign that usually follows the baptismal of the Holy Ghost with fire is speaking in tongues (tongues of fire) as the Spirit of God gives utterance.  When the Holy Ghost is speaking in any manner, the devil (our adversary) gets out of the way and runs.  There is power in the Holy Ghost and in the blood and name of Jesus.
Some people, churches and denominations even say that speaking in tongues is of the devil. Be very careful what you say or you may possibly blaspheme the Holy Ghost without knowing it.  In all the word of God there has never been a written account of a devil speaking through anyone in tongues.

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye – Acts 7:51

Some churches and denominations may focus on the gift of tongues to much. There is so much more to teach about concerning the Holy Spirit than just speaking in tongues.  Denominations, churches and pastors don’t let the teaching of the infilling of the Holy Ghost only be about speaking in tongues.  The Holy Ghost is so much more than that.  There is so much spiritual detail and teachings concerning the Holy Ghost that we can’t possibly understand it all. How can we possibly comprehend the power and Spirit of the Ancient of Days?

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things – Isaiah 45:7
P. 114-115

All of the scriptures applied in this entire writing came from my 1972 King James Bible.  I also applied them all, plus so much more, in the new book that I’ve written for a teaching on one of the topics in my book, which is the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.  These things are good and profitable unto men – Titus 3:4-8

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one – 1 John 5:5-8

Here are some words from the chorus of a song written by a Christian “rock” group called Decyfer Down. These words mean a lot to me and if they come from your heart to the Lord God, Saviour and Holy Ghost – Jesus Christ, then they’ll mean something to you as well:

“I want to love what you love, I want to see what you see, I want a heart that burns like a fire in me, I want your light in my life, I want my heart renewed…Here I am…forever with you”

Here’s a great worship song called “Holy Spirit” by Bryan & Katie Torwalt:
