Enoch, Noah and the Great Flood

As we read in Genesis chapter 5, out of the house of Jared would come two righteous chosen men, Enoch (Chanoch) and Noah (Noach). These two men walked with God (YHWH Elohim) and were righteous in His sight.  Both Enoch and Noah got to see and experience things that no other man ever has in the land of the living.  Enoch was also translated (caught up to heaven) by God and so he did not experience death (Genesis 5:24).

By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God – Hebrews 11:5

Enoch was the seventh man from Adam and a Gentile.  He was also a prophet, author of obedience and a mediator between the Nephilim (fallen malachim-angels) and God (Elohim-most High One).  Most people have the term Nephilim and its meaning mixed up.  The word Nephil means fallen and Nephilim means fallen ones. Enoch lived to be 365 years old and coincidentally our Gentile or Gregorian calendar contains 365 days that make up a year (Genesis 5:18-24).

Noah was also a Gentile, but through him and his son Shem’s bloodline would eventually come Abram (Abraham), Isaac and Jacob whom brought about the Hebrews and Jewish nation of Israel. The lives of Enoch and Noah, though many years apart, are intertwined and related as well as supernatural, spectacular and horrifying. Enoch was the great grandfather of Noah.  Here is a piece of writing from the book of Enoch which also reveals a major part of Enoch’s destiny:

1 Khanokh (Enoch or Chanoch) 12:1-6:

“Before these things, Khanokh was hidden, and not one of the bnei-a’am knew where, or where he lived, or what had become of him; for his activities had to do with the Irim (Messengers) , and his days were with the qadosh ones (Holy set apart ones). I, Khanokh, was blessing YHWH’s majesty, even the King of Ages, and behold! the Irim called me “Khanokh the Author” and said to me, ‘Khanokh, author of obedience, go! Declare to the Irim of the skies, those ruachim (spirits), which cannot be killed, who have left the high skies (that separate timeless place) and have defiled themselves with women, doing as the children of the land, and have taken wives:”

“You have caused great destruction on the earth, so you will have no shalom (peace) or forgiveness of sin! And inasmuch as they delight themselves in their offspring, they will watch their beloved executed and will lament over the destruction of their offspring, and will make supplication to Eternity, but mercy and shalom will you not have.”

The story of Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood is probably one of the most universally known biblical stories of all time. Who was Noah? He came from the bloodline of Seth out of Adam and was the son of Lamech.

And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed – Genesis 5:28-29

Here is a writing contained within the Dead Sea Scrolls from the Book of Enoch and writings of Noach (Noah).  These passages below describe the physical appearance of Noah and also reveal the beginning of his destiny.

Fragment of the Book of Noach:

1 Khanokh (Enoch) 106:1-16:

“Now after some days beni- Methuselah took a wife for his son Lamech, and she became expectant by him and bore a son. His body was white as snow and red as a blooming rose. The long locks of the hair on his head were white as wool, and his eyes were beautiful. When he opened his eyes, he lighted up the whole house like the sun. Yes, the whole house was very bright. Suddenly he arose out of the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and conversed with the Sovereign of Obedience.

His father Lamech was afraid of him and  ran out. He went to his own father Methuselah. And he said to him, ‘I have begotten a strange son, diverse from and unlike a man, resembling the sons (Holy angels) of the heavenly Elohim (God). His character is different. He is not like us. His eyes are as the rays of the sun. His face is wonderful. It seems to me that he has not sprung from me but from the malachim (angelic beings), and I fear that in his days a wonder may be brought forth on the earth. So now, my father, I am here to plead with you, even beg you, to go to Khanokh (Enoch), our father, and learn from him the truth, for his home is with the malachim.’

When Methuselah heard his son’s words, he came to me – to the very end of the world. He heard I was here and he loudly called. I heard his voice and came to him. I said to him, ‘Hinneh! (look behold) Here am I, my son. Why have you come to me?’ And he answered, saying, ‘Because of great worry I come to you, and because of a disturbing vision I have come near. And now, my father, hear me: ‘To my son Lamech has been born a son the like of whom there is no other. His nature is not like human nature and the color of his body is whiter than snow and redder than the rose bloom. His head of hair is whiter than white wool and his eyes are like the sunbeams. When he opened his eyes, suddenly the whole house was alight. He rose from the hands of the midwife, opened his mouth, and blessed YHWH in heaven.

‘His father Lamech was scared and ran to me. He did not believe that the child sprung from him, but that he was in the image of skyward malachim. So hinneh! I come to you so you might tell me the truth.’ I, Khanokh, answered and said to him, ‘YHWH will do a new thing on the earth. This have I already seen in a vision – to make you aware that in the family of Jared my father, some heavenly malachim (Nephilim) broke the word of YHWH. And hinneh! They commit chattah (sin) and break the Torah (ordinances of God). They united with women to commit chattah with them, and have married some and had offspring (rephaim) by them. They will produce gibborim (mighty ones-giants) not in accordance with ruach (spirit), but the basar (flesh) – and there will be a great punishment on the earth, for the earth will be cleansed from all such impurity. ‘Yes, there will come a great destruction (flood) over the whole earth, and there will be a deluge with a great damage for one year.”

The writings of Enoch reveal the true reason why God sent judgment on the earth to destroy all life by a great flood.  The sins of the Nephilim (fallen malachim) are also written in the book of Genesis but do not contain the same amount of detail as do the writings of Enoch.  Most people and even Christians do not realize why God flooded the earth allowing so many people to die. If you knew why and understood how the human race and bloodlines were mixed with evil fallen angels that brought evil, corruption, sin and bloodshed then you would know a fragment of God’s heart on the matter.  It was not something God wanted or planned.  He is all-knowing and created plans to even counter the fall of Lucifer and corruption of angels that was going to take place as well as for the corruption and sin of mankind that would transpire.
The fallen angels (Nephilim) were most likely deceived by Satan (Shatanim-fallen adversaries of God) to follow the same rebellion that Lucifer led among many other fallen ones. Lucifer (Helel-shining one) knew that the sinful act of the Nephilim would corrupt the bloodline and spirit of humans and hurt the heart of God (YHWH Elohim). Lucifer and the rest of the Shatanim were wise not to directly get involved and lay with women because they knew unforgiving and swift punishment would come from God (Yahweh).  Satan knew that Jesus (Son of Man-Chosen One) would one day be born on the earth defeating him bringing salvation and taking back the keys of hell and death eventually reigning on the throne of God for all eternity.  Lucifer did everything he could to prevent the birth of Jesus and he knows that one day his dark reign will end with full judgment from God and eternal torment in the lake of fire.

Fall of malachim (angelic beings)

1 Khanokh 6:1-7 “And so it happened, once the bnei a’am (children of the earth) multiplied, beautiful and
wholesome daughters were born to them. So the malachim, children of the skies, saw them and lusted for them. They said to one another, Come on, let us choose us wives from among the yeladim-a’am and spawn our own children. Semyaza, their chief, said to them, I fear you will not  all agree to do this deed and I will have to pay the penalty of a great chattah alone. They all answered him, saying, Let us all swear a vow, and all bind ourselves by mutual vows not to abandon this plan but to fulfill it. Then they all swore together and bound themselves  by mutual vows. In all, they were two hundred: those who descended upon the summit of Mount Hermon in the days of Jared. They called it Mount Hermon because they had sworn and bound themselves by mutual vows upon it.”

Here are scriptures from the book of Genesis concerning the sins of the Nephilim, judgment of God and flood of Noah:

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God (malachim-Nephilim) saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants (Rephaim) in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God (Nephilim) came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children (offspring) to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually – Genesis 6:1-5

And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them – Genesis 6:6-7

But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch – Genesis 6:8-14

And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female. Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive – Genesis 6:17-20

How did Noah fit all the animals of every kind on the ark?

God told Noah to get two of every kind which means two (male and female) of every original kind that could and would produce many variations of that kind.  For example, Noah got two kinds of cattle (male and female) to represent all the cattle because every “kind” has a common ancestor.  Ancestors of every kind of animal, bird, reptile and even insects had (has) the genetic ability to produce many different variations within its kind. Another example would be dogs, which involve variations of the same kind such as wolves, coyotes, foxes and of course the many variations of dogs that exist today.  Noah didn’t take a wolf, coyote, fox or different types of dogs, but instead he took only two which represented them all that had the original genetic code to produce the many different kinds and variations we see today.

How big was the ark?

It was about 515 feet long and three stories high, so it was big enough to hold Noah, his family and all the animals.  In Genesis 7, God even told Noah to take seven of all the clean beasts and fowls, but only take two of all the unclean beasts and fowls of the earth.  The animals went in two by two as they were supernaturally guided by God and only eight people in all boarded the ark, which took place in the 600th year of Noah’s life:

In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark – Genesis 7:13

How many days did it rain and how did it flood the whole earth?

It rained for 40 days and nights (Genesis 7:12) and the fountains of the great deep were broken up, which means that water within the earth also came up and out as well even with great pressure. The waters, specifically of the great deep, prevailed on the earth for 150 days.

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights – Genesis 7:11-12

And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth. And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters. And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark. And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days – Genesis 7:17-24

How long was Noah, his family and all the animals on the ark?

They were on the ark for one year and ten days from the day they entered until the day they exited when Noah was 601 years old.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth. And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood – Genesis 7:6-7

In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark – Genesis 7:11-13

And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry. And in the second month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, was the earth dried. And God spake unto Noah, saying, Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth – Genesis 8:13-17

Why was Satan created if God knew he was going to fall allowing evil and sin to come into the world?  I answer this question very well in my manuscript and hopeful upcoming book "Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited."

Some of this writing is contained within my book (manuscript) that I wrote called “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”, which I almost completely rewrote from the old self-published 2009 version. It was approved for publishing by a small Christian publisher this month of March 2014.  However, I have a few other larger publishers reviewing my book (manuscript) that I may publish with instead so it’s something that I’ll have to decide when the time comes.  A true traditional publisher will normally pay for everything concerning your book and some offer you a contract with a check to pay you.  Some smaller traditional publishers may require you to pay for a publicist and some marketing as well.  Literary agents normally don't ask for any upfront fees but do get a commission on a contract if you receive one and get published.  I am currently looking for a good literary agent and still sending my manuscript out to major publishers and agents.

My book (manuscript) reveals much more details concerning Jesus, Satan, Nephilim (fallen angels) and the giants (Rephaim) using both writings from Enoch and Holy biblical scripture.  Look for my book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited” sometime this year.  I also am currently writing a new upcoming book presenting a different twist than most end-time books on the rise of the Antichrist called “Little Horn and the Cup of Trembling”.  Some of this writing posted is already copyrighted and protected.

What is the purpose behind my book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”, why was it written and what audience will it appeal to?

“My book was primarily written to reestablish God’s word which was already written and to support creation. I also wrote it to lift up the name of Jesus drawing a line in the sand against Satan and all those who bring and try to keep division in the body of Christ. Too many churches and denominations slander each other, backbite and separate themselves from one another just because of their denominational name, traditions, standards, customs or personal theological view and teachings. I witnessed this going on in various ways while living in Louisiana for thirty-four years. Certain denominations have always been divided against one another although there are many true spirit-filled, kind and loving Christians within every denomination and church. My book may also help bridge a gap for some Christians and denominations through biblical scripture. There are other denominational feuds around the U.S. even between those believing in the oneness or trinity of God. We are all one body as brothers and sisters in Christ no matter what denomination or church we attend as long as the GOSPEL OF CHRIST is being taught and preached. The gospel of Christ is the birth, life, teachings, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I also wrote my book to share personal testimony, valuable information, sources, links as well as empower people through facts and biblical scripture guided by the Holy Spirit on several topics, but under four major categories which are:  Salvation, Holy Ghost, Water Baptism and Divisions in the body of Christ.
My book answers many questions people have concerning God and the Holy Bible.  The book is for both Christians and non-believers, especially to give much needed answers for those looking.  I pray and hope that my book can and will be used as a tool for the kingdom of God and to reach the lost.”

Writings by Daniel L. Staneart

I'll be 40 years old tomorrow March 30, 2014 so I wanted to share some pics of myself and my new acoustic guitar that my sister Laurie from Florida sent to me for my B-day.  I was in a Christian rock band at one time and really enjoyed playing music.  My new book will include a topic on MUSIC and how important it is to support Christian and inspiring positive music.

My testimony to draw the line in the sand:

I received a prophetic message during a prayer service in Louisiana by a woman in 2008 that I would write a book that would help people, but I definitely didn’t know anything about book writing or publishing. I wrote this Christian book called “Drawing a Line in the Sand” and had it self-published in 2009 through AuthorHouse Publishing.  I put my own money into the book but I never was satisfied with it at all. When I started writing the book I was grieving over the loss of my mother Vicki, and so it was a way for me to cope with her death which truly kept me grounded in the word of God.
The book was kind of boring and immaturely written and the Spirit of the Lord knew how I felt about it. I wrote some things that I believe were not correct as well. The last section of the book that I wrote on end-times was something that I was not ready to write back then, so I completely removed it.  I have grown immensely as a writer since 2008 both in wisdom as well as knowledge on the word of God.  Writing and self publishing my first book was definitely a growing and learning experience for me and I learned a lot even about marketing.  However, the book did have potential and served as well as a biblical study guide.  I really had to just spend some time rewriting, updating, editing and most importantly defining the purpose of my book.
I learned a great lesson to not ever rush something that you are meant to take time with it.  Put true quality into your work and not quantity.  I received two more prophetic messages in 2013 and 2014 by a man at the church where I currently attend in Washington State.  I knew the prophetic message for me was from God because this man didn’t know me at all.  The first time he came up to me out of the blue and said, “You’ve stopped writing, and God wants you to write.” You could imagine how I felt because this man didn’t know me at all and it was true.  I did stop writing and was discouraged, but that really encouraged me and so I created a facebook page and blog for writing. The second prophecy I received from the same man again in early 2014 was a message about God using my writings to help many people. He said that my writings would even go into dark places to reach people where others have not.  I knew in my heart and spirit that I needed to rewrite and revise my first book and then get it published again.  I began writing on two books at once. The first was rewriting “Drawing a Line in the Sand”, and thank God I have accomplished that.  The second book I am currently writing is on the rise of the Antichrist.  It will be about the last days but with a new twist that no other end-time book offers that I know of.

Here is the perfect song for me and my new hopeful upcoming book "Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited." It even contains the phrase 'Draw the Line'.  MAKE A STAND TODAY AND DRAW THE LINE FOR GOD AND JESUS IN YOUR LIFE:

I’ve read some past negative comments and reviews about the upcoming new movie Noah but I look forward to seeing it.  If you go to the movie’s website you can read and see a lot of good details behind it.  Paramount Pictures and director Darren Aronofsky probably did just a good as job as anyone could have especially considering it being a major motion picture starring Russell Crowe.  I don’t think it will be perfectly aligned with the true authentic story of Noah, but this was definitely a big project to take on for any director and producer.  Here is the website link for the movie:

March 28th through 30th 2014 is the opening weekend in the United States for the movie Noah written by and directed by  Darren Aronofsky.

Information on the movie and cast: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1959490/

Turns out the movie directed by Darren Aronofsky could be more authentic and true to the storyline than many anticipated or thought.  Many of the people, groups and Christians who stirred up controversy about the film was most likely for personal motives especially since they haven’t seen the movie yet.  The film involves the Nephilim which is not normally included in the Sunday School or children’s version of the story.  Now that many people and Christians have watched the movie that was released in other countries, the tide may be turning and the controversy is being shut down or could it get worse?  Hollywood wont ever allow perfect biblical accuracy though because it would lift up the word of God and bring glory to Him way more than they would like. I may wait for the dvd before I see it but if he added important things into the movie that did not happen then what a waste of a great film that had big potential. Sadly Hollywood entertains but don't evangelize or edify.

Hopefully and ultimately the film will cause many people especially Christians to knock the dust off of their bibles and began reading, studying and searching for truth even in the book of Genesis for the story of Noah and the flood.

It’s sad but also understanding that many Christians do not want the truth concerning the Great Flood, Noah, Nephilim (fallen angels-sons of God), Rephaim (giants-offspring of Nephilim) or even the prophecies and writings of Enoch contained within the Dead Sea Scrolls also mentioned in the book of Jude. These are very heavy truths to take on and realize for any Christian. As of 3/29/14 I haven't seen the movie yet but at least I know it stays true to the events that happened in regards to sin, judgment and then restoration which are important details about the flood of Noah. There really isn't much detail in the bible about what Noah and his family were going through during that one year time frame of getting the ark built and then the great flood occurring.

Here are some passages from the book of Jude in the bible:

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire – Jude 1:6-7

Notice how these passages from the book of Jude reveal that the angels that did not keep their first estate and left their own habitation committed the same sins, fornication and abominations that took place in Sodom and Gomorrah in like manner.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him – Jude 1:14

Darren Aronofsky was interviewed by CBN (Christian Broadcasting Network) which was also aired on the 700 Club.  Here is the link for the interview as Darren Aronofsky tells his side of the story:

There are a lot of great movies out now based on the Holy Bible that I like.  Some of my favorites are actually available for streaming online through Netflix and so here are a few of them:

  • The Passion of the Christ:  Written and directed by Mel Gibson released in 2004.  This was an extremely powerful movie based on the events of Jesus from the Holy Bible.  I went to see this movie in the theater and I still remember the feeling I received throughout the movie.  When I walked out of the theater my legs were shaking. I also saw so many people crying, but why?  I have seen many sad movies but no movie has ever moved me or a completely packed theater like this one.  Do you know why?  It’s because the movie was truly based on the trials, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The event truly happened and the movie portrayed the suffering of our Saviour very well.  Jesus was beaten and marred so badly that he wasn’t recognizable.
Behold, my servant shall deal prudently, he (Jesus) shall be exalted and extolled, and be very high. As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men: So shall he sprinkle many nations; the kings shall shut their mouths at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they consider – Isaiah 52:13-15

He (Jesus) is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.  Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him (Jesus) the iniquity (sin) of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth – Isaiah 53:3-7

  • One Night With the King:  Novel written by Mark Andrew Olsen and screenplay written by Stephan Blinn released in 2006.  This is one of my favorite stories of the bible based on the events of Esther but not available on Netflix.  The movie was really good and Tiffany Dupont did an excellent job playing the role of Esther (Hadassah).  In my opinion, Esther was the most honorable and courageous woman in the bible.
So the king and Haman went to dine with Queen Esther. And on the second day, at the banquet of wine, the king again said to Esther, “What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted you. And what is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!” Then Queen Esther answered and said, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request. For we have been sold, my people and I, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. Had we been sold as male and female slaves, I would have held my tongue, although the enemy could never compensate for the king’s loss.” So King Ahasuerus answered and said to Queen Esther, “Who is he, and where is he, who would dare resume in his heart to do such a thing?” And Esther said, “The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman! – Esther 7:1-6

Information on the movie and cast:

  • The Book of Daniel:  Written by Chuck Konzelman and Cary Solomon and directed by Anna Zielinski released in 2013.  This was a good movie of the biblical story of Daniel and I really enjoyed it.  Robert Miano did a great job playing the role of Old Daniel.  This movie is available to watch on Netflix.  Daniel was a faithful praying servant of the most high God.
Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions. And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God – Daniel 6:19-23

  • Apostle Peter and the Last Supper:  Written by Timothy Ratajczak and Gabriel Sabloff and directed by Gabriel Sabloff released in 2012.  I enjoyed watching this movie and it was a good biblical story based on Apostle Peter.  This movie is available to watch on Netflix.  Peter was considered by many as the chief of all the Disciples of Christ.  He was courageous and faithful.
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven – Matthew 16:15-19

  • The Book of Ruth:  Written by Salvatore DiSalvatore and Richard Raucci and directed by Stephen Patrick Walker released in 2009.  I enjoyed watching this movie and it was a good biblical story on the life of Ruth.  This movie is available to watch on Netflix.  Ruth was the mother of Obed who was the grandfather of the famous King David who slew Goliath.
So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the Lord gave her conception, and she bare a son. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the Lord, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.  And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.  And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David – Ruth 4:13-17

And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these – Mark 12:28-31

There are many more good movies to watch based on biblical stories, events and accounts.  There were a lot of older movies that were made based on bible stories you can find.  You can look for and watch some more on Netflix even animated cartoons.  I believe the DreamWorks animated movies “The Prince of Egypt” and “Joseph: King of Dreams” are available to watch on Netflix.  I also really enjoy Christian movies put together by Sherwood Pictures and Provident Films such as Courageous, Fireproof, Facing the Giants and Flywheel some of which did very well at the box office.

2014 is a year full of bible based movies both on the small and big screen with more later to come.

What bible based movie would I like to see on the big screen with full blown effects and all the works?  I would like to see people get together and write, direct and produce a motion picture movie on the fall of Lucifer, which would have to include the story of Enoch, fallen angels (Nephilim) and giants (Rephaim).  This would take a lot of studying, research and work to capture the true essence of the film based on accurate biblical accounts as well as writings from the book of Enoch stemmed from the Dead Sea Scrolls.  To even try to capture the presence, throne, power and light of God (YHWH) on film would be amazing.  It wouldn’t be easy because His majesty is incomprehensible.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning – James 1:17
