Can any man or woman be perfect or considered perfect?

Can any man or woman be perfect or considered perfect at least in comparison to Christ?

The answer is no.  Jesus Christ was sinless, blameless and spotless from birth to death.  If we have ever sinned in our life since birth then we will never be “perfect” or considered a perfect person.  We already have blame and spots that are graciously covered by the blood of the Lamb Jesus Christ.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us – 1 John 1:10

Can any man or woman walk in perfect obedience through faith and trust in Jesus Christ?

The answer to that is yes.  As Christians, we can even walk without sin for seasons or longer but only through God’s strength and our faith as well as trust in Him to keep us from falling even providing ways to escape any and every sin.  This is not about self-righteousness or the cliché “I’ve got one up on you”.  This is about trusting God to deliver you from and out of whatever the sin may be. However, the final choice is up to you…even Jesus was tempted by Satan under some very extreme conditions during important key moments.  Jesus resisted and because HE overcame then so can we through him…

If you’re resisting sin to please the Father in Heaven then you are doing what’s right in the sight of God…….if you’re trying to resist sin for other reasons then you will fall and it will not be fulfilling.  Any man or woman can walk upright and perfect in the Lord through the Holy Ghost but it is not easy and it takes trust and faith.
Will you receive some forms of persecution as well as jealousy, envy, slander and hate from others if you walk upright in the Lord God? Yes you will…but you have to always be humble and not lift your own self up…God will lift your head up for you even through others.

But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head – Psalm 3:3

We can only walk upright in God resisting sin through the power of the Holy Ghost.  HE gives us a way to escape every time, but it’s up to us to take his hand.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it – 1 Corinthians 10:13

We overcome this life and even the sins of this life through Christ and when we do fall and sin we have an Advocate unto the Father to forgive us of our sins.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous – 1 John 2:1

Should it matter if we sin since we can be forgiven every time and grace is applied? Yes it does matter and the word of God warns us to abstain from sin because our spiritual enemies desire to kill, steal and destroy us even with the littlest foothold we give.  God shows us a better way…but we can do it our own way and HE will let us, even though we’ll receive torment, pain, suffering and even chastisement because of it.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour – 1 Peter 5:8

The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly – John 10:10

You can overcome…Trust in Him…….

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world – John 16:33

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world – 1 John 4:4

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith – 1 John 5:4

The Holy Ghost searches our hearts which means HE can read our thoughts as well.  God gave us everything that we needed through Jesus Christ (Holy Spirit) to overcome this life, the Devil, sin and the flesh.  The choice is ours…….We can “do it our way” or do it God’s way and have true victory.  The bible warns us many times to abstain from sin and to not allow the Devil to get a foothold in our life.  This is not about being “perfect”, but this is about having victory over Satan and the sins of this life and to both defeat and escape the pits, fiery darts, traps, devices and nets our spiritual enemies uses.  This is also about overcoming our own flesh…

Many times we cope with things in this life with sin because it gives temporary relief from the pain, hurt, heartache and anger…but sinning to cope confounds the problem and entangles us even worse and we’ve all been there at some point and time in our life…….What if you said “NO” this time…what would happen…possibly a miracle and you may not find out until you do.

But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed – James 1:14

Neither give place to the devil – Ephesians 4:27

and do not give the devil a foothold – Ephesians 4:27 NLT

There is an incident in the word of God where Jesus healed a man who had an infirmity for 38 years.  This is what Jesus told him after HE healed him…

Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee – John 5:14

Sometimes we experience hurtful things and torment in our life even though we haven’t sinned but these trials are always only for seasons, growth in the Lord and for the Glory of God.  One perfect example is the story of Job.

Who do you choose to serve this day…yourself and the flesh…or God?

Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect – Matthew 5:48

How can we be perfect according to Matthew 5:48? By walking in love and obedience through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin – John 8:34

Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness – Romans 6:18

When we receive salvation in Christ believing in the gospel of Christ by faith then we begin our journey in God.  The Christian walk is an ever-growing process of falling and getting back up to having true victory over sin by seeking righteousness (Jesus Christ) and the kingdom of God first.  We are the righteousness of God through Christ….…Do we stop there? No, because we must continue to seek after the kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit (Ghost) which ultimately allows us to walk in obedience desiring the spirit over the flesh and desiring obedience over sin.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you – Matthew 6:33

Don't give up ... be a fighter and warrior in Christ!

Our full hope, salvation and refuge is in Jesus Christ

What is the purpose behind my hopeful upcoming new book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”, why was it written and what audience will it appeal to?

"My book was primarily written to reestablish God’s word which was already written and to also support creation. I wrote it to lift up the name of Jesus drawing a line in the sand against Satan and all those who bring and try to keep division in the body of Christ. Too many churches and denominations slander each other, backbite and separate themselves from one another just because of their denominational name, traditions, standards, customs or personal theological view and teachings. I witnessed this going on in various ways while living in Louisiana for thirty-four years. Certain denominations have always been divided against one another although there are many true spirit-filled, kind and loving Christians within every denomination and church. My book may also help bridge a gap between some Christians and denominations through biblical scripture. We are all one body as brothers and sisters in Christ no matter what denomination or church we attend as long as the GOSPEL OF CHRIST is being taught and preached. The gospel of Christ is the birth, life, teachings, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This book also contains a great deal of scripture verses for ease of memory, especially from what book, chapter and verse it is located.
We are to love, care for, encourage and lift up one another. God created diversity not division.

I wrote my book to answer many questions people have. I also wrote it to share valuable information, sources, links as well as empower people through facts and biblical scripture guided by the Holy Spirit on several topics, but under four major categories which are: Salvation, Holy Ghost, Water Baptism and Divisions in the body of Christ. The book itself is an excellent study guide.

I pray and hope that my book can and will be used as a tool for the kingdom of God and to reach the lost.”

My testimony to draw the line in the sand:

I received a prophetic message during a prayer service in Louisiana by a woman in 2008 that I would write a book that would help people, but I definitely didn’t know anything about book writing or publishing. I wrote this Christian book called “Drawing a Line in the Sand” and had it self-published in 2009 through AuthorHouse Publishing.  I put my own money into the book but I never was satisfied with it at all. When I started writing the book I was grieving over the loss of my mother Vicki, and so it was a way for me to cope with her death which truly kept me grounded in the word of God.
The book was kind of boring and immaturely written and the Spirit of the Lord knew how I felt about it. I wrote some things that I believe were not correct as well. The last section of the book that I wrote on end-times was something that I was not ready to write back then, so I completely removed it.  I have grown immensely as a writer since 2008 both in wisdom as well as knowledge on the word of God.  Writing and self publishing my first book was definitely a growing and learning experience for me and I learned a lot even about marketing.  However, the book did have potential and served as well as a biblical study guide.  I really had to just spend some time rewriting, updating, editing and most importantly defining the purpose of my book.
I learned a great lesson to not ever rush something that you are meant to take time with it.  Put true quality into your work and not quantity.  I received two more prophetic messages in 2013 and 2014 by a man at the church where I currently attend in Washington State.  I knew the prophetic message for me was from God because this man didn’t know me at all.  The first time he came up to me out of the blue and said, “You’ve stopped writing, and God wants you to write.” You could imagine how I felt because this man didn’t know me at all and it was true.  I did stop writing and was discouraged, but that really encouraged me and so I created a facebook, twitter page and a blog for writing. The second prophecy I received from the same man again in early 2014 was a message about God using my writings to help many people. He said that my writings would even go into dark places to reach people where others have not.  I knew in my heart and spirit that I needed to rewrite and revise my first book and then get it published again.  I began writing on two books at once. The first was rewriting “Drawing a Line in the Sand”, and thank God I have accomplished that.  The second book I am currently writing is on the rise of the Antichrist.  It will be about the last days but with a new twist that no other end-time book offers that I know of.

Let God draw a line in the sand today against the gates of hell in your life.  Don't give up, BE a fighter...

I have several writings in my blog which has received some small publicity and now almost 2,000 views. So far the writing that has received the most views is a sample writing from my manuscript on Enoch, Noah, giants and the flood along with so much more.  Feel free to check it out.......

This is my attempt at a self-made promo video for my new hopeful upcoming book called "Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited." Really I just like the song lol, but the video reveals reasons why my book was written as well as some questions & topics answered and covered in my work. The song playing during the video is called "Draw the Line" by the Christian rock band 'Disciple'.

Seek after & fall in love with the Holy Ghost...the Spirit, witness & power of Jesus Christ

The Holy Ghost is the power of God on this earth even through us.  HE is also the Witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of Truth and our Comforter.

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you – John 14:16-17

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose:  he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire – Luke 3:16

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:  for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:  and he will shew you things to come – John 16:13

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.  And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul:  neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.  And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus:  and great grace was upon them all – Acts 4:31-33

The kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost…acknowledge him…seek after Him. Walk in his love (charity), truth and obedience experiencing his grace and overcoming power…Walk Christ-like.......

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost – Romans 14:17

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God – Romans 3:22-25

For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power – 1 Corinthians 4:20

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost – Romans 15:13

But ye shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth – Acts 1:8

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?  Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call – Acts 2:37-39

And my speech and preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power – 1 Corinthians 2:4

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.  And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy in the Holy Ghost – 1 Thessalonians 1:5-6

While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on them which heard the word.  And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.  For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?  And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days – Acts 10:44-48

Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.  Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? – Acts 11:16-17

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another – Galatians 5:22-26

Here are a few excerpts identified in quotations from my hopeful upcoming book “Drawing a Line in the Sand Revisited”:

Here is a scripture that reveals when the term 'Christian' is first used:

And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch.  And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people.  And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch – Acts 11:26

Our true identity is in Jesus Christ. We are called Christians, this is our identity and our identity is not in some denominational or non-denominational name or church organization. The church we attend does not define us, but the Holy Spirit (God-Jesus) does.  The term “Christian” began to be used to describe followers of Jesus Christ (Acts 11:26).  This term is still used today. This term should be taken more seriously for those who call themselves Christians. All of us who believe in the birth, life, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ are Christians. All of us who believe that Jesus was God come down unto men manifest in the flesh as the scripture reads, the word made flesh, are Christians of the right spirit. All of us who believe that Jesus is coming back for his people (saved believers) are Christians with faith and hope. All of us who love the Lord God and others with all our heart are Christians. Once again, the term “Christian” means to be Christ-like. P. 109-110

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

I wrote this scripture previously revealing what the Apostles and Paul preached unto people.  They preached Jesus and the resurrection.  This is the gospel of Christ; this is what Paul first received and how he was saved.  As you can read in the above verses, Paul declared unto them the gospel which he preached by which they were saved. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross set us free and brought us salvation.  His resurrection gave us hope.  His comforter sent unto us, the Holy Ghost, brought us power, a witness and the boldness to speak and walk in the Lord Jesus Christ with love and truth without fear.  We are to walk humble, be just and love mercy. P. 115

The spirit of man is the candle (lamp) of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly – Proverbs 20:27

Our spirit is the lamp and the Spirit of life (Spirit of Christ-salvation in Jesus-Spirit of God) is the oil for our lamp. The baptismal with fire in the Holy Ghost is what lights the oil into a burning flame that shines forth with witness and power unto the world dispelling the darkness. When you feel and sense things in the spirit or rather in your own spirit you most likely we feel it in your belly as Proverbs 20:27 reveals. P. 111

God is a Spirit and God is love (charity). What are the greatest gifts of God and the greatest long-term evidence of walking in the Holy Spirit of God? By all we’ve read and learned so far it is that we walk in love (charity) and truth.  Many churches and denominations put to much focus on certain gifts without giving the true foundation of the gifts.  The foundation of all things from God is built on love through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Love is sacrifice and God is love (1 John 4:8). P. 114

Here are some scriptures that give the purpose behind tongues and prophecy:

Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.  If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?  But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:  And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth – 1 Corinthians 14:22-25

Some churches and denominations don’t believe in speaking in tongues or don’t believe that tongues (cloven tongues of fire) should take place in the church. Once again, not every church is used by the Spirit of God in the same manner or operation. You may not ever speak in tongues, because we know according to the word of God not all people will, but to deny and not believe in it would be unwise since it comes from the Holy Ghost. We all have to ask God for wisdom and to guide us. We have to watch what we say, and we have to watch what we teach and what we learn from others.  The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth and without the Holy Ghost in and upon your ministry there will be no “anointed” truth concerning the word of God that comes out of you.  Here is a scripture that lets us know that tongues should not be denied or forbidden:

Wherefore, brethren covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues – 1 Corinthians 14:39

The majority of people who are baptized with fire in the Holy Ghost will speak in tongues (tongues of fire) when being filled. We now know through scripture that I have written from the word of God that some people may not speak with tongues upon being filled with the Holy Ghost, but some possibly may speak the word of God with boldness, prophesy or speak a word of knowledge (Acts 4:31-33).  Once again, the sign that usually follows the baptismal of the Holy Ghost with fire is speaking in tongues (tongues of fire) as the Spirit of God gives utterance.  When the Holy Ghost is speaking in any manner, the devil (our adversary) gets out of the way and runs.  There is power in the Holy Ghost and in the blood and name of Jesus.
Some people, churches and denominations even say that speaking in tongues is of the devil. Be very careful what you say or you may possibly blaspheme the Holy Ghost without knowing it.  In all the word of God there has never been a written account of a devil speaking through anyone in tongues.

Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye – Acts 7:51

Some churches and denominations may focus on the gift of tongues to much. There is so much more to teach about concerning the Holy Spirit than just speaking in tongues.  Denominations, churches and pastors don’t let the teaching of the infilling of the Holy Ghost only be about speaking in tongues.  The Holy Ghost is so much more than that.  There is so much spiritual detail and teachings concerning the Holy Ghost that we can’t possibly understand it all. How can we possibly comprehend the power and Spirit of the Ancient of Days?

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things – Isaiah 45:7
P. 114-115

All of the scriptures applied in this entire writing came from my 1972 King James Bible.  I also applied them all, plus so much more, in the new book that I’ve written for a teaching on one of the topics in my book, which is the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.  This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.  These things are good and profitable unto men – Titus 3:4-8

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood.  And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one – 1 John 5:5-8

Here are some words from the chorus of a song written by a Christian “rock” group called Decyfer Down. These words mean a lot to me and if they come from your heart to the Lord God, Saviour and Holy Ghost – Jesus Christ, then they’ll mean something to you as well:

“I want to love what you love, I want to see what you see, I want a heart that burns like a fire in me, I want your light in my life, I want my heart renewed…Here I am…forever with you”

Here’s a great worship song called “Holy Spirit” by Bryan & Katie Torwalt:

God is calling the body of Christ, families and people to forgive and reconcile

One of the greatest messages and callings so very important from God to us right now, especially the body of Christ and families, is to forgive and be reconciled to each other.

Let’s take a look at two of the greatest strongholds and satanic prisons by our spiritual enemies that many Christians are bound by:

  1. Unforgiveness
  2. Pride
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses – Mark 11:26

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you – Ephesians 4:32

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven – Matthew 18:21-22

Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall – Proverbs 16:18

The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined – Psalm 10:2

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts – Psalm 10:4

Let’s take a look at the verse 1 John 3:15-16:

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren – 1 John 3:15-16

Are we really laying our life down for our brother or are we just doing enough so we feel like we’re doing our part?

What other hindrances, sins and spiritual prisons do both of these (Pride & Unforgiveness) cause within us when they take root?

They cause grudges, bitterness, resentment, hatred, wrath, strife, gossip, slander, backbiting, malice, division, torment, pain, suffering, suspicion, paranoid mind and isolation.  Even jealousy and envy can come as a result, but these are satanic strongholds and prisons of their own and very serious as well.

What caused Lucifer’s fall? Pride, Jealousy and envy

These simple words are one of the hardest things to say for many people, especially with a sincere heart:  “Please forgive, I’m sorry…I love you.”

Many times this is also a very hard thing for people to receive and accept as well when they are asked to accept forgiveness.  They may accept and all seems well but the truth is they “feel” like they’ve done their part and everything is okay.  Is it okay to say you’ve forgiven someone or accepted forgiveness but you still  truthfully do not want very little to do with that person.  Do you think that is God’s will?

We have to also forgive ourselves and not let our spiritual enemies use our mind as a punching bag binding us in prisons of condemnation or fear.

True forgiveness and reconciliation is not just going to somebody to say a few words or to check on that person once every few years.  It is God’s will to restore and reconcile people and families.  He even did it for us through His Son Jesus Christ…Here’s the scripture:

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation – 2 Corinthians 5:18

Reconciliation is even a ministry within the kingdom of God.  My wife and I know that this is a part of our ministry that God is growing in us and allowing us to begin to share and speak.  God desires to bring people back to the basics that many “Christians” are straying from…and that is reconciliation, forgiveness and love.  Reconciliation and restoration are beautiful acts performed by God even using his children as vessels to speak and plant the seed to bear the wonderful fruit that will come of it.

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified – Isaiah 61:3

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity (love), I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity (love), it profiteth me nothing. Charity (love) suffereth long, and is kind; charity (love) envieth not; charity (love) vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity (love) never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away – 1 Corinthians 13:1-8

Can you really say that you love someone if you’re always thinking or saying something negative about them?

True love is unconditional…it is one of the ways we walk Christ-like.  We all are also guilty of taking offense…being offended by the smallest and littlest of things even when many times it’s just a matter of misunderstanding, misassumption and miscommunication.

I have several writings in my blog which has received some small publicity and now over 1,900 views.

Have you been waiting on God to answer?

Just wanted to share a word of encouragement for those in need as well as through my own personal experience:

During your wait if you have continued to serve God faithfully, walk in obedience, stay humble, serving others with kindness & compassion as well as continuing in trust, patience, perseverance and suffering then your answer is coming…

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint – Isaiah 40:31

“There’s a promise coming down that dusty road”, which stems from a southern gospel song that even many times was sung at an old church I used to attend in Louisiana. God still performs miracles and does keep his promises...trust HIM...

I want to share a great scripture from Psalm 70 especially for those who are in need and have been serving God faithfully while also being persecuted or just being mocked, gossiped about and put down. One of the biggest problems within Christianity, churches as well as for people and even families in general is misunderstanding, miscommunication and lack of love, compassion and kindness. We should lift up and encourage one another.

So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT

There are so many people, even Christians, who would rather see you fail than succeed and have hurt instead of joy…but why? Pride, arrogance, haughtiness, jealousy, envy, hate, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness…take your pick…but they’re strongholds of Satan, so why hang on to them or let these things into your heart and spirit…especially against a brother or sister in Christ?  The prayer from Psalm 70 rings true for many people who are in need, hurt, broken and downtrodden.

Psalm 70 Prayer:

Make haste, o God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O Lord, make no tarrying – Psalm 70:1-5

Waiting on the Lord is never easy, as a matter of fact it is painstakingly hard, enduring and many times lengthy. God desires to get us to a place in our life where we many times resist to go…….times of testing, purifying, pruning and molding to become the Christian servant you’re meant to be bringing God glory will never happen overnight.

There's a spiritual battle for your soul, mind and heart.......

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God – Acts 14:22

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him – James 1:12

During your time of testing, what if every time something (sin of any kind) came your way, even in your thoughts, and you said “No”, rejecting it, not entertaining it, bringing it into captivity and casting it down…what would happen? It will certainly give you a different result than giving in…this is part of obedience and the maturing growing process of a true Christian servant…it can be done…trust me I know…You can do it.
The more you resist something that tempts you (whatever it may be), then the weaker it gets and the stronger you get in the spirit walking in the Holy Spirit…seeking peace, love and joy in the Holy Ghost. Take it one thought, moment and day at a time overcoming through Christ who overcame the world. The initial battlefield is truly in the mind and spirit.  Remember, temptation isn't sin but the entertaining of temptation and falling into it is...

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you – Matthew 6:33

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world – John 16:33

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ – 2 Corinthians 10:5

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you – James 4:7

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost – Romans 14:17

Satan wants to kill, steal and destroy you, your family and any area of your life. Be mindful of that and cling to Jesus guarding your heart and thoughts. Satan wants to steal, kill, destroy, hinder and delay the answer to your prayers…resist him. Let God show you what HE can really do when you seek after Him and His kingdom first overcoming and resisting our adversary. Be persistent and consistent…we’re not perfect…but we don’t have to fall into Satan’s traps, even in our thoughts…we have every right to overcome the flesh.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh – Galatians 5:16

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart – Psalm 101:2

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me – Psalm 101:6

"The angels are holding up the ladder for you", so we just got to keep climbing reaching for Jesus and the prize that awaits us.
